What is The Resveratrol Recommended Dosage For Anti Aging Benefits?

With all the talk and writing about the miracle antioxidant resveratrol, you may be asking what is the resveratrol recommended dosage.
There has been a lot of testing done in laboratories on mice, earth worms, fruit files, and others.
When looking at the resveratrol recommended dosage we will look at the dosage given in mice, which prolonged the anti aging gene. A study done by BioMarker Pharmaceuticals showed the human equivalent of that dosage is 20 mg a day.
When comparing brands you need to check out the source of this antioxidant – is it trans or cis. The trans is the natural form, where the cis is synthetic and is not as easily absorbed as the natural form. Some companies won’t specify what kind they use, so steer away form them. My philosophy is if they don’t tell you, it is probably the moist inferior of the two.
Also look for the strength. This can range from 5% – 50%. Here again if they don’t tell you what it is, it probably is nearer to the 5% than the 50%. This can change the health benefit of the dosage a lot. If you have 100 mg, but the strength is only 5%, you actually have more health benefits in a tablet that contains 20mg at 50% strength.
Don’t think more is better. Since resveratrol is a copper chelator, too high a dose could impair the availability of copper, which is needed for nerve regeneration and collagen formation. It also inhibits the absorption of Vitamin B9 (folic acid) that is needed for DNA repair. Resveratrol is safe, but not necessarily at very large doses.
Red wine is touted as a popular way to get your daily resveratrol recommended dosage. But you might want to think twice about this. You will get 90 micrograms in one fluid ounce of red wine. A glass of red wine is a little over 5 ounces, thus you would have to drink 41 glasses of red wine to get equivalent to what you would get in a tablet containing 20 mg. I like my wine, but that is way over the top for me.
That’s why I choose to get my resveratrol recommended dosage in a capsule. The one I take also combines other helpful nutrients – vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and herbs. Together these synergistically work to give outstanding health benefits that keep me full of energy and mentally alert all day. Check out my web site listed below in my bio to find out more.
